World Language Assessment Academy

Put down that red pen and start assessing student performance using rubrics aligned to ACTFL’s performance descriptors!  Learn how to write a performance assessment, either integrated (IPA) or non-integrated communicative tasks.

Planning for World Language Instruction

Choose from many workshops!  Learning topics include:  world language lesson cycle and enacting high leverage teaching practices.  Every workshop includes a model lesson taught in a less commonly taught language.  As a result, participants EXPERIENCE how the teaching moves aid in comprehension, critical thinking and engagement to set the stage for successful student communication.

This training will set up any campus principal for success when leading and observing World Language teachers.  Learn the basics of the paradigm shift in language teaching and learning, the TEKS for LOTE and observation look-fors. 

 

World Language Online Learning

Click on the World Language Online Learning Map tab above to access all of our online courses.  Topics include a range from TEKS 101 to Designing for Differentiation.  We're adding more courses continually, so keep checking the map.
