ASCENDER Business Systems

ASCENDER is a state-sponsored Student and Business Administrative Software offering a complete range of powerful web-based business administrative applications. ASCENDER is a fully integrated solution that streamlines operational needs and simplifies reporting requirements and is complemented by a PEIMS component that performs all state-mandated extracts.

ASCENDER Student Systems

The Student Modules are compliant with PEIMS Reporting, OCR, TREx, UID, SAAH, Data Standards, and more.  ASCENDER Student provides customer training on supported modules for a wide variety of district staff. In addition, Region 10 offers several user workshops throughout the year. For an additional fee, districts can purchase one-on-one, on-site training for any support module we offer.


Fiber 10

FIBER 10 is a large-scale, carrier-class network allowing member districts to access high-speed, high-bandwidth connectivity services over a new, dedicated, and cost effective fiber network. The Consortium consists of Region 10 ESC, school districts, public/private and charter schools in our region. This collaborative effort provides a competitive price advantage as well as E-Rate and special construction discounts from USAC and the TEA.

Network Services

As part of our Technology Services Package, Region 10 offers Bandwidth Monitoring (Fiber 10 Districts Only), Local Network Monitoring, Network Assessment, and Network Diagramming. Region 10 also offers Network Vulnerability Scanning, and InfoSec IQ (HB 3834 Certified).


Skyward Business

Region 10 remains one of two service centers that support Skyward’s student information system software. Region 10 will provide Tier 1 phone and email support for districts that choose support from the ESC, as well as training and project management for many of the districts converting to the program from other SIS software.

Skyward Student

A few of the Region 10 Skyward Student service include 3rd Party Importing/Exporting or Skybuild, Attendance, Current Year Scheduling, Custom Forms, Demographics, Discipline, Family and Student Access, Fee Management, Food Service, and much more.


TETN

The Texas Education Telecommunications Network, TETN, supports K-12 educators statewide by providing videoconferencing services that save valuable time and money in travel.  TETN is funded by the twenty Education Service Centers and the Texas Education Agency and operated by staff in Austin at Education Service Center Region 13. TETN also supports students through Dual-credit Courses; High School Courses; and Virtual Field Trips.

Texas Record Exchange System (TREx)

The Texas Records Exchange (TREx) system is a web-based software application designed for the exchange of electronic student records. School registrars have the capability to electronically request and receive student records for students who have attended or will be attending Texas public schools. High school registrars and counselors can electronically create and send official student transcripts to Texas public colleges and universities. Region 10 offers flow-through support from TEA on TREx.


Texas Student Data System (TSDS) 

The Texas Student Data System (TSDS) is a statewide system for collecting and reporting education data for publicly funded schools in the State of Texas.  TSDS offers a way to collect and manage data, as well as provide educators with timely, actionable, and historical student data.

Web Accessibility Trainings

The Region 10 web team provides web accessibility training, based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), so you can produce online content that people with disabilities can perceive, navigate, interact with, and contribute to in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Sections 504 & 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.  Classes offered include:
